MSY : Medical Services of Yurgo, located on North Ice.
Heading to the northern part of the island in its icy region, known as North Lakes, you can observe a rescue base surrounded by ice and snow. This base is one of a handful of emergency facilities installed all around Yurgo Island in extreme conditions. Managed by the public service MSY, also known as Medical Services of Yurgo, these outposts are essential for citizen safety.
One might wonder why such isolated infrastructures are necessary. Well, this is due to the high demand for work in the harsh environments of Yurgo. It’s not uncommon to come across a deceased worker from one of the surrounding companies, especially in these dangerous areas. Despite current technologies, getting lost is quite easy. Thus, these outposts have been deployed to ensure security and prompt assistance in case of incidents.
To achieve this, MSY has opted for fully equipped stations to provide assistance as quickly as possible. In addition, each worker is equipped with health devices that allow real-time monitoring of their living conditions. As soon as a non-safe state is reached, MSY receives an alert to intervene on the scene as quickly as possible.
MSY has an extensive fleet of intervention vehicles, with the main one being the Bison model. It is a highly performing vehicle equipped with large all-terrain tires and a significant load capacity. This model is converted in a way to become a complete mobile hospital.
With its nuclear generator, this vehicle has autonomy for several months, allowing it to go on intervention and stay on-site. It is fully equipped and pressurized to meet the needs and survive during severe weather conditions that make the road impassable. It is a formidable machine specially designed for such hostile terrain for humans.
Indeed formidable, but some time ago, one of the intervention vehicles went missing with its crew. No GPS signal could be determined during the search. It is highly likely that it was engulfed by one of the lakes in the North Lakes region, making the search impossible. But who knows, maybe one day we will find it…
The outpost above is one of those present in the North Lakes region. Placed not far from mining extraction companies to enable quick intervention in case of an alert, it serves to maintain the vital conditions of patients so that they can be taken care of by a second unit, bringing them back to Yurgo’s main medical center. The intervention of the second unit can vary from one day to several consecutive days depending on weather conditions. Therefore, any preparation to take care of the patients must not be neglected, as a resource shortage can occur leading to significant complications.
While the interior space is small, it is fully equipped and pressurized, the outpost is sufficient to maintain living conditions until the arrival of the second unit.
As for the North Lakes region, as its name suggests, it is filled with various and varied lakes. All different, but also dangerous. One must be relatively experienced and know the terrain perfectly before venturing into such a destination. Although the ice is thick, it is not uncommon to fall through.
It can also be added that this region remains mysterious due to its large formation of lakes, creating intriguing arc shapes when viewed from the sky. Moreover, a strong magnetic field is perceived in this area, which can sometimes alter electrical systems, but nothing too serious. There may be a link between these two phenomena, but there is any proofs. Leading to many scientific researches taking place in this area to study these phenomena that remain unanswered…
