This project was created for @garage.spaceship, a fascinating and forward-thinking creator. He previously gained attention with a Mazda RX7 build, which was showcased at the Hot Wheels Legends Tour meeting. Now, it’s time to dive into his latest project set to move the limits of automotive creativity.
The project is the transformation of a 1994 Ford Mustang into a futuristic UFO straight out of science fiction. Drawing inspiration from iconic films and a touch of British class, this page will thoroughly explain every step of the process!
The inspiration for this project comes from two opposites. The first is the Aston Martin Victor, known for its refined, modern elegance, and the second is the legendary Ford Mustang « Eleanor » from the film Gone in 60 Seconds.
For this project, a completely unique approach was taken, setting it apart from previous works. Indeed, @garage.spaceship used a miniature model of his vehicle to craft his own version.
With a bit of filler and ingenuity, he created this first prototype at a reduced scale.

This small model allowed @garage.spaceship to perform a 3D scan, which proved incredibly useful for reconstructing the design. The main lines of the vehicle were already established, leaving only the task of ensuring coherence and creativity to transform the 3D scan into a perfect render.
This is where the 3D work for the project began, using the 3D scan as the foundation. A big thank you to @garage.spaceship for preparing an excellent vehicle scan, which was essential in creating the final visual model.

The first 3D renders were quickly produced, allowing the initial shapes to take form. It was at this point that the true scale and scope of the project began to emerge. The 3D renders enabled @garage.spaceship to gain a clear vision of his concept, bringing his idea closer to reality.

This 3D process also made it easy to quickly explore new ideas, even though some were ultimately not kept. The headlights, inspired by the Mustang Eleanor, along with other elements that were not possible to implement on the scale model but were successfully added to the full vehicle design.

And this is how great projects like this one begin. It only takes a little to embark on a grand adventure. This vehicle has a truly unique look, with the Mustang’s base almost completely hidden. There’s no doubt that once finished, this creation will turn heads and start conversations.
An entire YouTube series will be available documenting the building process, with the first video already out. You’ll get a closer look at how this project is coming to life. If you’re interested in this project, you can give him a follow !
Thank you for reading this ! Remember one thing, trust the process !
