A wonderful project I had the opportunity to be a part of. I joined ACE to help bring their dream project to life. While they excel in handcrafted work, they lacked experience with digital design software. My role was to assist them in designing their car, helping with the creative process, and contributing to the development of their commercial images and much more.
Ace is a new branch of ACE Héritage. Founded by Christian Escourbiac, ACE Héritage has already made a name for itself in the manufacturing of carbon fiber and glass fiber parts. One of its most notable projects is the Renault Spider by ACE Héritage.
In early 2024, Christian Escourbiac partnered with Stéphane Dalens to create ACE. The goal of this new entity is to specialize in the preparation and modification of Alpine vehicles. This project had already been in development within ACE Héritage but needed significant refinement to reach a whole new level.

When I joined the project in March 2024, the car was still in the early stages of development, with a lot of work ahead. After several discussions with the team, I decided to get involved with the goal of creating a digital model of the car. This would allow us to visualize its potential using a digital approach.
With a few guidelines I provided, the Ace team was able to gather enough resources for me to create a basic 3D scan.
While this step is relatively simple, it requires careful attention to achieve a high-quality and usable result.

Thanks to the scan, I was able to quickly start working on the 3D model. As you can see, the process is quite straightforward—I use the 3D scan as a base to recreate all the shapes.
This model is intended for visualization purposes only, so some measurements may not be entirely accurate. However, it provides a clear representation of what the final vehicle should look like.

It’s difficult to showcase all the details and the time spent on this step, but it was the longest part of the entire project. My 3D work also allowed new ideas to emerge, such as the new rims with Stéphane Dalens. They have an incredible look, making the car even more stunning.

Once the 3D model was finalized, the most exciting part began. I love creating scenes and experimenting with different car colors. Here is a collection of scenes I created, designed for various uses such as the website, social media, and even exhibitions for ACE during autoshows.

Some geometric shapes…

There is also some research that have been made for the next version of ACE. Something even more radical, with big aero parts and a striking look car. But for now it’s impossible to share more about it, except this next image.

For now, I can only share these images, but the future of ACE looks promising. You can discover more on their website, including additional visuals I created.
Next month, an artistic scale model designed by me will be released. The creation process will be showcased in a new section of my website. Stay tuned!
Thank you for reading! A special thanks to Stéphane Dalens and Christian Escourbiac for allowing me to be part of this incredible project. I can’t wait to share new images and insights about the next steps, especially throughout the fabrication process until the final real-life release.

This page will be updated throughout the evolution of the project.
